Leslie W. Jones joined the war effort at the young age of 15 when he entered the Merchant Service as an Apprentice. He served on the ship ‘Foyle’ until December 22nd 1915 when he was washed overboard and drowned in the mid-Atlantic. From the age of the World War One AOB Casualties, Leslie was the youngest to be killed during the war.
